Understanding the importance of discretion and safety, we prioritize both in the design of our app. The application can be used anonymously and is available free of charge, ensuring that it is distributed securely and discreetly—protected from the influence of an abusive partner. This app is specifically designed for individuals affected by gender-based intimate partner violence (GBIPV).
For their safety, the app is not available in standard app stores. Only the user, through a unique and confidential mechanism, can reveal its true functionality—providing a secure and supportive space for those affected by GBIPV. Additionally, the app offers a discreet introduction to self-help resources, allowing users to seek assistance without needing to share their situation with others first.
The app enables users to discreetly document incidents of gender-based intimate partner violence (GBIPV), including recording dates, times, descriptions, and even photos, all stored securely within the app. This documentation can serve as an essential tool for potential legal action, providing a solid foundation to support and substantiate your case.
In addition to offering a secure method for recording incidents, the app empowers individuals affected by intimate partner and gender-based violence by helping them better understand their experiences and identify the various forms of abuse.
Ultimately, the app provides a confidential means to collect evidence against the abuser, offering crucial support for those looking to document incidents of assault. Developed through an interdisciplinary approach, the app also functions as a bridge to existing support systems. Our goal is to introduce the app across five federal states in Germany by 2026.
The app is distributed securely to ensure the safety of users, meaning it is not available in standard app stores. This approach helps protect those affected. We are actively seeking partnerships with individuals, associations, organizations, and institutions that engage with those impacted by gender-based intimate-partner and domestic violence. Currently, we are gradually rolling out the app in a secure manner in Germany across Berlin, as well as the regions of Hanover, Oldenburg, and Braunschweig in Lower Saxony.
To inquire about the app’s distribution in the regions mentioned, please contact us through the general contact form and select 'Distribution' as the reason for your request. Our goal is to expand the app nationwide, covering five federal states by the end of 2026. We are actively working to extend the app’s reach beyond the funding period to ensure its availability across the country in the future. Currently, we are in discussions with other federal states, as the app's distribution must have political support.
Your assistance is crucial to this effort. If you would like to help us bring the app to your state or region, please reach out via the contact form and also contact your state's ministry of the interior or social ministry, emphasizing the importance of making this innovative, digital support service available in your area. Thank you for your support!
Here we answer questions about the app content. For questions about distribution, press inquiries or research, please use the general contact form or the press inquiry form.
